Allison, Tru is a baby

Yep, most cookies, quick breads, muffins and fudge freeze pretty well. I might make some truffles if I can summon up the energy to roll all those balls. Or I might do lemon bars. Or fudge. I haven't decided yet.

Or maybe whipped shortbread. Those turned out really well last year.

I just read the guest list and cracked up! I guess I AM bringing spinach dip {I would have anyway, just because it's easy and tasty I'm glad you all like it, since it's what I always bring!}

Definitely! After we move I'll host one. I will finally have room to invite people over!

Joe is thinking about taking the kids bowling but not sure yet.

Joe wants to make jam and chocolate thumbprints. Kind of funny as he apparently decided he is doing the baking for this. Umm you don't bake. I might make fudge too but not sure.

Uh oh. Ana is really mad at me for going to a party without her. She said, "Why is it just for moms? I'm a mom, I want to go!" I told her I would bring her home cookies and that made her a little less mad.

I haven't even said a word to the kids. Eric knows cause he's gonna make the cookies for it. cause he's the designated cookie maker in the house.

and i realized that I'm not on the list. so I'll be there with cookies and something else to eat. :

Hey Ladies,

I'm bringing buckeye's, they are a bit of work but very tasty and they freeze well. I haven't decided on an appetizer yet.

Allison can you pm your address so I know where to go? My computer has been acting kooky so I want to get it before it crashes completely and I have no idea where to go.

Thanks,
Cori

I think I am going to try to come if the weather is not bad. I will bring ginger crackles. What else should I bring?

Allison, can I bring anything like plates, napkins, a drink...?
Hey Ladies...I'm rethinking driving up there...haven't been following the weather too closely, but I heard snow was in the forecast...so I'll be a maybe...

Lemon bars and candy cane fudge. That's what I decided to bring. I think... Or should I do truffle balls instead of the lemon bars? I'm baking/making tonight. I'll be hitting the grocery store after M gets home from work so if there is anything at all that I can bring beyond the spinach dip {of course!} and the treats {of course!}, please let me know! I would be happy to bring anything at all. Some soda or juice to drink? Paper products to reduce clean up?

Busy making cookies today! We made spritz cookies and they're so small that I'm doubling up and you can count 2 of my cookies as just one

Also decided on a baked artichoke dip w/ crackers. Allison, do you have a microwave? I'll cook it at home but it might need to be warmed up.

Hope the weather isn't a problem! The forecast I heard said maybe 2 inches Sunday AM, which is small enough that even snow-phobic me should be ok (unless, of course, there is lots of ice on top of the snow again).

Yes to microwave. In fact I will clean it.

I was thinking of making vegi soup or chili as well its easy and cheap to make in a big batch. What do you guys think? Which one you want? Chili has hamburger in it. Vegi soup is made with chicken broth. Is anyone a vegetarian?

I have not even thought about drinks. Umm I'll have milk, water, and I have several bottles of sparkling apple cider that we can have too.

As for dishes I may have enough paper plates and things but let me check and get back to you. With party of Sat and this on Sunday I might not have enough. I have not looked in the party box in a while so I can't remember what is in there.

For cookies I am trying a new recipe that supposedly you can make 8 different kinds of cookies from. We will see if its any good. I am hoping to make a batch tonight to see if its any good but I have plans at 6 so not sure what time I am getting home.
