Whoops! How do I tell WW from DK?

I have a pile of yarn here waiting to be dyed for the LYS. It's been months since I worked on it, and since then stuff has been shifted a bit. I had it separated out into a pile of WW and a pile of DK. Most of it still has bands, but I have 2 skeins that have already had the bands removed and are ready for dyeing, but I have no idea what weight they are! Any easy way to tell? Or should I just stick those in my stash and move on to ones that are still banded?

there is a way to tell by wraps per inch. basically you wind the yarn around a ruler, and see how many times you have to wrap it to get up to an inch.

One way for me to tell usually is just by eyeing the thickness on the yarn. compare a strand of each side by side. The thicker one would be WW.
