prenatal vitamins

I'm still just taking my regular multi, which has 800 mcg of folic acid. I also have the Rainbow Complete Prenatal System but I haven't worked myself up to the taking 6 pills a day -- ugh. Anyone find something they love?

AND did anyone see this recent study on folate?

It only struck me because my 4yo tends to get terrible chest colds and generally anything he gets ends up in his chest. (Early this fall I started giving him a "potion" of astralagus + wellness tinctures and he's been in school EVERYDAY so far this year, which is huge).

I've been taking Rainbow Light prenatal "One"- it's only one pill a day. You should try those...I get mine on ebay for really cheap too.
I'm also taking a calcium-magnesium supplement and some omega/DHA/EPA fish oil capsules.

I'm taking the Rainbow Complete Prenatal System also. I haven't had a problem taking all six pills a day so far. I just take them with meals. I'm also taking an omega 3 and a pomegranate supplement.

I just take generic prenatals, I've been taking them for practically the entire time I've been TTCing!

But I also take a cocktail of other supplements... Flax, Gingko Biloba, B Complex, C, Calcium, Co Q-10 and many more. Most are for my Emphysema, I don't think I would be as healthy without them.

Mine are really old, I think they expired in 2005. I need to buy a new bottle.

I just take the kroger brand prenatals, I've been on prenatals since 2004. I also take a fish oil supplement and will start a cal/mag supplement when I'm feeling less sensitive-stomached.

I'm taking the Rainbow Light Just One prenatal. It's the easiest on my stomach out of all the prenatals I've tried (I went through 6 different kinds).
No other supplements, though, yet.

I take the Rainbow Light 6 a day. I found it impossible to get them all down with my 1st pregnancy since pills just made me more nauseous than I already was. My method this time is to grind them in a coffee grinder and then measure the appropriate amount (6 pills = 2.5 tsp) into a little plain yogurt, stir it in and then add orange juice. It might sound a little disgusting, but it's actually not bad!

I think the good of folic acid would outweigh bad.

I take the one/day Rainbow Light Prenatal, 2000mg of purified fish oil, a shot of Floradix, calcium/mag, 1000mg Vit C and Probiotics. I take everything at lunch and have been doing so for 2 years. It is a ton of stuff but I am used to it now.
