Wrapping paper crafts

I have way more wrapping paper than I will use this year. I had about 1/2 Costco roll left when I bought more last year and then forgot to take that with us. Then I won a small roll at a Christmas party last night. Add to that we are not really doing lots of gifts this year and I have waaaaay too much wrapping paper.
I thought it would be fun to make some crafts out of them. Decorate, give, enjoy, keep the kids busy when it's yuck outside.
All I can find is crafts that either just recycle the paper (assuming it's been used) or need stiff paper.
Anyone have any ideas?

decoupage, paper mache. . . just off the top of my head. Martha Stewart had these adorable paper mache acorn lamps yesterday, not a kid craft, but still cute.
