My birth at Special Beginnings was the most positive experience of my life. I had some complications- water breaking 3 days before ctx with light meconium, but it was treated with...
My mom gave me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it. Gorgeous illustrations and very sweet ideas inside. Plus it's just structured enough so that I can be creative about what I include...
This is the prettiest carrier, and fit my shoulders and figure (at 5'6") much better than the Ergo. I got it when my daughter was about nine months, two years ago - it doesn't appear to have...
This potty is great - excellent value & performance! (plus it's cute!) My 9 month old DS took to it right away. He is a big boy (30 in. tall - feet not quite on floor - & 27 lbs.) and this is...
As with all of the gf flours, you need to make sure that it's made in a gf facility, that's all. If it doesn't specify, "Gluten free" it may have cc issues.
Good point. We grind all of our flours at home except garbanzo. I suppose cross contamination would be a big issue with store bought flours (especially from the bulk bins).
I order most all of our supplies through Azure Standard. Sorghum grain is round, a little bigger than bb's, cream colored with a black dolls eye. Its very soft and mills fast.
I've actually only heard that some people who can't do corn also can't do sorghum. Similar to the situation where some Celiac's can't do even GF oats. Similar proteins.
I hadn't heard that about corn and sorghum. I've been using sorghum... DD hasn't gotten "folliculitis" from it, but now I'll have to watch and see if it causes sleep issues. I definitely hadn't heard that one. Grrr....

Don't take my word as gospel though. It's literally something I have "heard" - not read it anywhere. I think I was ordering something and was asked if sorghum was okay since corn was not and when I said it's fine I was told some people have issues. I bet it's really rare though - if it's even true.

No, when I saw your post, I remembered reading that somewhere too. (My memory's like a sieve- I often don't remember things until something "triggers" it. It used to annoy the crap out of my brothers because I'd remember random useless bits of knowledge and then I couldn't help but blurt them out.)
I haven't done an official trial, but DS can't do corn, and was reacting to something I baked once with it - could have been another ingredient, but I just took it all out.
I saw sorghum on a corn allergen list once (can't remember which one) and that's what made me think of it.
If I can add to the corn/sorghum speculation -- Sorghum is also a grass grain so it would make sense it has similar proteins, but I do think cc is very common, and cc with corn would not be labeled.
ETA: I think the above (cc with corn) is why sorghum is on the impossible corn list.
