eczema and vaccinations

What are your thoughts on that?
We had the standard vaccinations done on Thursday, his skin which was fragile to start with, erupted suddenly.
I am convinced he had eczema to start with and not infant acne as his pediatrician diagnosed. (He is 2 months)
It got better with changes we made such as changing his soap, lotions and detergent. And suddenly a flare up that spread to dry patches on the knees, arms and full blown face break out. And I can't help but think that the vaccinations have something to do with that.
Am I making this up or is there a connection?

I started a dairy and soy free diet since Thursday as well, hoping to see results.

There is absolutely a connection. Many vaccines contain egg; egg is one of the number one causes on eczema in babies. Also, vaccines can also overload the immune system, causing the body to start reacting to otherwise safe things (food). If the LO had a compromised immune system to start with (already had eczema and/or food allergies), vaccines can cause significantly more damage.

: If you look up in the "resources" sticky of this thread, you can find a lot about healing (gut-healing, specifically, since the gut is the center of the immune system). You might want to start doing things to heal your gut, since you are nursing, in addition to removing offending foods. There are a couple threads in "resources" about elimination diets, too.

I'm not sure where you land on vaccines, but I'd really consider not getting any more until you can sort out the situation (if ever. I'm personally a delayed-vaxer, though my allergic kids have not been vaxed yet. Many here do not vax at all).

i'm wondering if the ped's officce would space them out every couple weeks or so. I hope that flare up will heal.

My dd's eczema flared up after ever vax shot. Worst was at her 6 month checkup. I talked it over with the ped. I agreed to one shot, in her left leg. 12 hours later her left side was all eczema. Of course the ped tells me it wasn't the vax. We did nothing different that day. I'm delaying the vaxes for now. I do believe there is a correlation.
