Looking for research: auto-immune diseases and vaccine reactions - Page 2

Bug, that's a sad story, and I suspect you will spend a long time looking for answers. You have made a decision to stop vaccinating, at this point I wonder if you are interested in trying to become an expert on autoimmune disorders? I think it is intimidating to try to read all the technical research as a layperson, but there is no reason why you can't develop a working understanding of it over time if you keep reading and asking questions. For me, research starts at the top. I might say: "what is an auto-immune disorder?" The simplest answer to that question will leave you with a million other questions, each of which will take you down a path of more detail and more knowledge. If you are up to learning it, you can become the amazing resource that you are currently looking for!

I'm not sure about becoming an expert, but I would like to know more. On a diabetes forum there was a book suggested that I would like to check out from the library about autoimmune diseases. Once I figure out how to manage my DD's diabetes, I'll do some more research.

I just wanted to wish you some support in what must be a very difficult thing to confront. Your DD is lucky to have such a mom willing to change as circumstances arrive. Lots of parents would bury their heads in denial. You are clearly courageous and brave, and one loving mom.

I wish you the best as you seek answers. My dh developed an autoimmune disease after being vaccinated for smallpox as a child, (juevenile ruematoid arthritis). We don't vaccinate--although his family never made the connection and his mom lines up for her yearly flu shot, pnemonia shot and any/all other medically available
