I forgot to tell you.......my BIL (DH's brother) asked me 14 times if I wasn't too old to have a baby. I am not kidding, I counted. He does have a problem with anything he thinks coming out of his mouth. This despite the fact that his grandmother had her last baby at 40 and her sister had 2 after 40.
But I thought women couldn't have babies when they are 41???? Over and over again.

Actually buddy, I will be 42~

Hi mamas! I had my amnio today - what an interesting experience! It was quite an eye opener to see the baby. I had an u/s at 8 weeks but it's so different seeing a baby-looking person in there with a head and arms and legs and a beating heart with chambers. Very cool! I am still digesting that there IS a baby in my tummy and I'm going to have a little creature to care for in a few short months. It's hard to comprehend, even though this will be my second child.

I get the results of the amnio in 2 weeks. I have a really good feeling that all will be well, but I'm sure when the day comes to find out I'll be a bit nervous to face the music. I did convince my husband to forgo finding out the sex of the baby, so we are in for a wonderful surprise at the birth. I'm really excited about that!

I've begun to move from my bella band to actual maternity clothes. My friend teased me today that my belly was poking out from under my sweater, so I guess I got the go-ahead to wear my maternity shirts. It's all starting to feel very real.

Oh yay Jordana, that's great news!

I am a few weeks behind you I guess (14 weeks tomorrow) and I wish my black bella band would hurry up and arrive. I broke out my "fat suit" today from before I lost all my babyweight from DS today because my fitted suits are just not cutting it anymore but I don't have my black bella band and I am not ready to move to maternity yet.

So neat that you got to see your babe! It is surreal after losses I know!

Hi mature mamas! Just bumping us up, I hope you are all doing well.

I am tired but otherwise fine. 14w2d and I've only gained a pound but I look about 5 months PG.

I think I've gained less so far this time than at same point with DD. M/S is weird now: I feel a little less generally blah, but when it hits, it's worse than it was earlier in pg. Friday was spent hurling every few hours, yuck. That's only the second time the whole pg I've had a day like that, compared to numerous mornings spent greeting porcelain in pg1. Today though, and all weekend, I feel pretty ok, almost like a normal person.

13w6d today. Ski trip in two weeks - I think my ski pants will fit OK. Better check soon!!

Sorry about all the nausea and puking. I've only puked once and am starting to be able to eat what I want. What a relief. I hope everyone gets relief soon.

Well. I am finally in the "i' can't wear my jeans anymore phase" I pushed it until this week but i was definately stuffing my pansa (belly) in there! I am freaking out because I can feel that my fundus is almost to my belly button. I am only 15 1/2 weeks.

Mateo bought me a belly band that holds up my unzipped jeans. I'm wearing it today for the first time. Its working pretty good and pretty comfortable. I was going to go out and buy preggo jeans but maybe I won't need to.

Anyway- just wanted to say hello and unbury our thread- which is the only one I read because there is sooo much (too much) stuff on here!

Hi Michelle, I am going to buy a Bella Band this afternoon. I am still able to do my jeans up but some of my suit pants are not going to last much longer. Plus they are nice to smooth everything out under shirts.

I am still having touble believing I am the oldest. I just had 3 friends deliver over age 43 and I am not 42 until May. You are all spring chickens!

Wow, we were buried down on PG 3.

Heard the HB at my MW appt on Tuesday. So glad since I am not feeling any movement yet (looks like I have anterior placenta AGAIN!).

Still in the closet at work so it was wierd to go to a family thing last night. First time we have seen everyone since we told DH's parents we are PG. It was wierd to be "out" and not hiding the PG!

I don't think I've posted here before. I'm 34 but will be 35 by the edd, so I suppose that officially makes it ok for me to post here

I'm seeing my midwife late next week (planning a homebirth) and she will schedule an ultrasound for checking up on an ovarian cyst I have (and hopefully seeing the baby's sex)... I can't wait!

I am still having some morning sickness, but it seems to be letting up a bit. I hope it will actually GO AWAY sometime soon. I'm tired of eating all day long just to try to keep it at bay.

Welcome to the thread Angela! Good luck with that cyst, I hope it has shrunk, I know PG does that sometimes.

My MS doesn't seem to be abating yet. I only have it when I forget to take my meds. But I forgot the night before last and was miserable all day yesterday. I couldn't eat anything between 3 and 9 pm.

Um, I am back from Cuba, doesn't look like we are gettign too much posting here, I hope everyone is just really busy growing their beautiful babes!

I am feeling movement now. "Big" u/s at 19w5d next week.

I am also feeling movement. I have another appt next week and I would guess the ultrasound will get scheduled at that point for ~20 weeks (since that will be 19). How is everyone doing??

I am doing pretty well. I feel the babe move pretty regularly now and things seem to be going OK. I am excited because I have an u/s and mw appt next Monday. We moved in Jan and do not have insurance until March 1st so I have not been to the mw since the end of Dec. I toured a birth center and talked with the midwives there and they thought it was fine that I would not be seen from 13 weeks until 22 weeks. I am mostly fine with it too, it just will be nice to hear that the baby is growing on track.

Hey all you old (I should say "mature") ladies! Hah. I feel the baby move all the time now. Mateo felt the baby too laying his hands on my belly! So nice!

My fundus is so high though. I've been measuring a few centimeters big. I feel like I have octuplets in here! Just kidding of course. I guess I'm in a weird humor mood.

Hope you all are doing really well. Drink lots of water and kegel often!

I am measuring big too but I think it is the fat padding that makes it appear that way LOL!
