Its unlikely that eggs could make it into your breastmilk that quickly, so I vote against banana. Instead of starting with uncooked fruits, its best to begin with cooked vegetables. Of course if you want to be certain that its banana, then you could try feeding it to her again... And you may want to start her on some probiotics as you go through food introductions. Good luck! And I hope she feels better soon,

I agree. It's impossible that the egg would have gotten into your milk in 30 minutes. It must have been the banana.

I gave bananas as a first food, and it made my DD constipated for almost a week. She can eat them now at 20 months.

Sounds like she likely has a banana allergy/intollerance although the illness does muddy the water a bit. Actually, people can be allergic ANYthing but bananas are a somewhat common allergen since they are in the latex family. I would research what other foods are in the latex family (avocado is one) and avoid those as well for now. Has she been fine when you eat bananas? Sometimes kids are okay when BF mama eats certain foods but do not tolerate them directly.

It means that probably bananas are bad for her right now. I would also plan to stay away from kiwi and avocado for now, and avoid latex. All these plants are related and tend to cause reactions amongst each other. If you want to introduce bananas later, like at 9 months old at the earliest, then I recommend offering them as cooked bananas. Otherwise I'd wait until she's at least a year old with several other good foods under her belt.
