Anyone else hoping for a VBAC?

I ended up having a C-section with DD and am hoping to have a VBAC this time. I'm looking into a new OBGYN practice on Monday- has anybody gone through this yet? I'm wondering if I should call and ask if the doctors in that practice are open to VBACs? I'm just not entirely sure how to go about it.

I had a VBAC with my last daughter, this will be my 2nd VBAC.

Where do you live? If you have a local ICAN chapter they can be really helpful at locating vbac friendly docs in your area. Also, if you check your local area in the Finding Your Tribe section of this website, that can be helpful as well.

The first step would be finding out which doctors/midwives in your area do vbacs, and then narrowing it down by what restrictions (if any) they put on vbac labors, what kind of vibe you get from meeting them, if you can find other people who have had a vbac with them, etc.

I am changing from my OB who did the c-section with my ds (said he let's mom's "try" to VBAC but is more comfortable with repeat sections ) to a group of midwives who are supposed to be very VBAC friendly.

I've been lucky enough to have vaginal for both births so far...

But I've had friends do VBAC and have no problems with it, I wish you as much luck! :
