Hey I am trying to put together a "practical" defense against circumcision, based on a point of view everyone seems to be increasingly interested in, a better health care system.

I was wondering if anyone had any links that show some hard data on how much circumcision costs per year on a state and national level in the Medicaid system?

PM member TCA2008 she worked on dropping medicaid in NC. She might be able to help you reach whoever is working on it in NY.

Thank you. I will PM them. Although I am not focusing on NY. Just out of curiosity, why would you think I was specifically focusing on NY, out of any other state in the nation?

I seem to recall you saying you were from somewhere in NY at some point. I just figured you were researching your home state. Incidentally, they are gearing up for the next legislative year if you're interested in contacting your representatives on this issue let TCA2008 know. You might also contact someone here:

The link you sent me was one that I already found. Its a very interesting read, but I am looking for hard data, that can be presentable in a unbiased argument.

Ya but the person who maintains that page (the ICGI site) is involved in medical insurance or something similar and would have access to the precise data you're looking for.

I am looking for general data, national or state. No specific state in mind, just the one where I can get the best data from. I guess one with a higher circ rate, that way it can more clearly show how much money is waisted on circumcision.
