Melatonin OK?

Thread Starter
I have always been a lousy sleeper. It has gotten worse in the past week.

I started taking 3mg of Melatonin at night and that really seems to help my sleep. Is that ok to take while PG?

Also, I have been taking a sublingual B12/Folic Acid supplement in addition to my prenatal vitamin. I'm assuming that's ok... Anyone know why it would be a concern?

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat with you as far as insomnia :yawning:. I thought Melatonin would be the safest way to go, but I guess I was wrong! I was told that Melatonin is not OK, but that Unisom Sleep Tabs are OK. I was also told that Ambien is OK.

Check with http://otispregnancy.org/index.asp to be sure.

as is tylenol pm (if you have cramps its a good addition to have the pain reliever) or the tylenol simply sleep which is tylenol pm without the tylenol. When my son would keep me up all night kicking me, my doc recommended the tylenol pm.

and benedryl which i take before bed... knocks me out fast... but it's for an allergy to another medicine i'm currently taking that I can't stop until I see my doctor about it (my appointment was last friday but she had a patient go into labor and rescheduled for tomorrow)

I already looked up all of my meds, and I'm on "A" list with all of them.
