BPA and number 7 bottles still on shleves!

BPA in bottles etc... some store did NOT take them off shelves!
Not to sure where to post this, but I was in the $ store today and was checking out some baby bottles. Most were cheapy ones that I'd never seen before. I thought I'd turn it upside down and check the number on them. I found they were number 7's. This has been banned from all stores so I don't know why they didn't take them off the shelves there.

I did tell the man I saw working there. He explained to me that he called the maker and they ensured him that "these" bottles even though they had the number 7 on them were safe. If they weren't he would have had to send them back.

Of course I don't believe a word of what he told me though. I think he just wanted to save money and see if he could still sell them. Many people don't realize that number 7's have been banned.

Can I do anything to let people know about this?

Do you have a link or something? I haven't heard anything about #7 plastics being banned.

BPA was banned in Canada and stores there had to pull plastics containing BPA off the shelves.

This dollar store still had a lot of baby bottles with number 7 on them. He claimed that the manufacture said these bottles were safe and did not need to be taken off the shelves.

I don't think many people know that plastic with number 7 on them has been banned. Also people may assume that the stores know what's safe and what isn't and would automatically take anything dangerous off the shelves. Some stores don't though.
