Hi, I'm ddc crashing for a moment, because this may be my ddc after all, we'll see what the dr thinks later....but that's another story.....
I *HATE* those STUPID, MEAN digital tests and their smug little words "Not Pregnant". What do they know, anyway?
I was 15 dpo. FMU. BFN on a digital test. Why did I buy a digital test, you may ask? Oh, becaue I told myself that I was tired of trying to interpret lines that weren't there and I just wanted a simple yes or no. Not so simple. I figured that since I was 15 dpo, that a digital test would be JUST FINE, strong enough for a 15 dpo fmu test. NOPE. I had to take the stupid test apart. Well it turns out there's TWO blue lines on most digital tests- whether it's positive or negative. Blah blah blah...I didn't know this at the time..so I FREAKED and went out and bought a frer test and tested that afternoon....
and got a *faint* bfp.
The next morning....fmu, frer.....BFP.
STUPID, Stupid digital tests.
FWIW......a week later I bought another digital test....just so I could FINALLY read the word PREGNANT.
Hang in there!

Took one on 5 hour held urine but
i THINK it may still be positive?
If it is it's even fainter than the first but also...
the control is fainter and the amount of ink on the pad at the end, it's not even really pink but more of a reddish white?
Did I stupidly just take a test that wasnt as good as the others?
I unfortunately cant photograph this one cuz my last batteries died last night as i took the other pics.
but since my first positive was sunday night and its now wednesday morning (and day af was due) shouldnt i be getting a bfp by now?
AND... i've still no signs of af and still feel sickly but not as much as i did last week :/

I'm trying to comfort myself... but it's hard
If I'm wrong about O day (I'm pretty sure I'm not but could be...) mymonthlycycles which keeps track of my usual cycles says that I'm not 14dpo today but 12dpo and that AF isnt due until friday. But it's messed up, my usual cycles range from 26 to 28 days but last month I was 2 weeks late (due to major stress earlier in my cycle delaying my O day) so now it's saying my cycle is longer than it actually is because it averages and 2 extra weeks completely throws off my "normal" average.
If I o'ed the day I think I did, AF would be due today and it would be a 26 day cycle.
Otherwise I O'ed two days later, actually increasing my likelyhood of getting pregnant as we would have DTD every single day I was fertile.
which means the first faint positive was on 8dpo (but also means my cramping was 6dpo?) then the second was 9dpo
but in any case if i got a bfp then wouldnt it be darker by now?
:
I really hate my body. And I still say I O'ed on the 26th not the 28th.

Hugs for you and all of this back and forth. I wish you could see the dark blue lines you are hoping for.
Pee on a stick really helped me out when I was intrepreting.

Doctor...
the test was negative (pee test) but she says
she's not convinced, her test isnt sensitive its for women who are already at least a week late, if i havent had my period by monday test again and come in if its positive.
She says it's pretty likely I am (and she says "well if you're not lets at least hope your cramping and breast pain stop!" because I've always had a problem with them before my period)

a home pregnancy test doesn't know it should be darker, the further along you are. It only knows to look for a specific level of hcg, minimum. If it detects that amount, it triggers the test results. If there is more, it doesn't know - it just knows it meets the minimum.
So, no, a test would not, necessarily, be darker because you are further along. That's one reason "a line is a line is a pregnancy".
