Who's on your birth team? - Page 2

I'll be at the hospital for a scheduled c-section. My other two births were unscheduled c-sections and included my OB, a back up OB, a ped due to meconium both times, the anethsiologist, and a slew of nurses, one intern, and my DH.

I have both an OB and a peri this time around. I don't think my peri will attend the birth unless needed. But her office is in the in the hospital so she can get there easily. I'm hoping to not need a ped in there this time. And get a lot less nurses! I am hoping to get an intern in there again. I found the drs explained things in much greater detail due to the intern being in there. I like to learn too!

Mike (husband) and our doula. The doctor will be one of the six in my doctor's maternity practice (we meet all of the before the birth and whoever is on call that day will deliver the baby). Our hospital tries to have one nurse per labouring mama so you have her full attention.

Honestly... I won't know until way closer to the time, possibly/probably not until I am actually in labour.

I have a list of people who "could" be there if I needed/wanted them... which includes:

My partner
Our son
My friend A, who lives about 20 steps away from me (and her house is another option for our son if I don't want him there with me)
My friend E
My Mom
My midwives

The plan is to UC. I am not planning on being alone... I think it's very likely my partner and my son will be there at the very least, but I'm leaving all options open and we'll see how I feel at the time.

Me
Andy (partner)
My midwife
Andy's midwife (really, the second midwife provided by the organization we are using)
Maybe a friend of mine who is a doula-in-training.

Midwife, her assistant ( another midwife), DH, my sister, and my mom.
So far that is, I am debating a doula, I really want one, but I am so broke right now.

Just me, dh, and my midwife. If my MIL can come from the states she'll watch Anika and they might be in the room. If she can't come Ani will go to a neighbor's house during the day.
