Chatty Cathy - Socializing Interfering with Naps

Anyone else's LO doing this? Lilith chats and chats and chats all day long and has pretty much stopped her napping routine. She'll cat nap here and there during the day...but is mostly awake and talking to us. She's not grumpy...she's just too nosy and opinionated to sleep much. That being said...she does go right to sleep at night (if only she'd stay asleep for longer than a three hour stretch!)

Hmm, Nora has somewhat of a routine with her chatting. She wakes up from her morning nap and wants to talk for oh, 10 or 15 minutes. Then she wants to eat, then she falls back asleep. Repeat. Sometimes she eats and then will NOT go back to sleep, but rather wants to lie on the floor and talk to somebody, which is only annoying when it's 2 am.

Mine does-all day AND all night. If he's not talking, he's fussing. He was so easy at first and he's turned into a ridiculous no sleep baby! He got about 6-7 hours of sleep between yesterday and last night. And then all this morning he was awake and making noises at me, until about 4, when he finally fell asleep. It's crazy.

Uh oh. We had a long "talk" @ 3 AM. I was hoping it was just an anomoly.

Chatty Carrie (trying out that nickname!) has her periods of talking. But what I think is super cute is sometimes in the middle of the night, or in the morning before I've gotten her up, she chats for a while. I like that she's able to keep herself busy without crying. Waking up to baby conversation is WAY better than waking up to screaming. I think she's talking to her ladybug mobile, she loves that thing so much.

Oh, and she also talks to the ladybugs and flowers on the wall next to her changing table. We got a pack of those wall decals and placed them all over the room. I think the changing table is her favorite place ever, since her BFFs are there to chat with.

Annie is a really quiet baby. She doesn't do much talking at all. She has much longer awake periods now but I think there is already so much noise going on in the house that she is just absorbing and learning.

Eleanor *loves* to talk, a trait she certainly got from DH and not me! She also loves her changing table, where she talks to her mobile of oragami cranes one of DH's friends made.
