I make a photo montage every year as a gift, last year I used Upside down - Jack Johnson and Sweet Child O Mine - Guns N Roses. The year before that I used Amazing, My wish- Rascal Flatts and a couple of others that slip my mind right now.
There are no shortage of sappy/sweet songs available, I am thinking about using Ordinary Miracle- Sarah McLaughlin or In My Arms - Plumb for that.
What I need is a happy/upbeat/inspiring type song. Upside down was perfect for this and I would really love something else in the spirit of that song. I do have this wierd thing about the lyrics having to be appropriate for parent/child love though. I had thought about using Happy Girl- Martina McBride but it doesn't work because of what its really about (the whole bit at the beginning just doesn't fit).
Anyone have opinions of using Say Hey - Michael Franti and Spearhead? It seems to tell a fairly specific song about a man meeting woman and falling in love with her but the video seems to make it more a song about love in general.
