This is why I now carry a copy of "Medications and Mother's Milk" with me any time I go to the doctor or ER if I can manage it. The one time I went without it almost cost me my nursing relationship with DD2 because the nurse practitioner flat out lied to me about looking up a medication. I asked if she looked it up, if there were alternative meds, and if it was absolutely necessary before consenting and the bawled for 10 min before taking the pill. (Which was L3 and when I talked to the PA at my doc's office said was overkill for what I presented with, ie: there were alternatives, turned out to be viral)
