My Review of Pacifica Solid Perfumes~Mexican Cocoa and Malibu Lemon Blossom

Just in case anyone cares
It's so hard to find a natural perfume I thought I'd share!
I just recently purchased Malibu Lemon Blossom and Mexican Cocoa solid perfumes from Pacifica. I am highly sensitive to artificial fragrances and just strong fragrances in general if that helps anyone. I know that I looked on here for reviews before I bought them

.33 oz and come in a cute tin. I paid $9 and free shipping from Ebay but Pacifica is having a sale right now for $7 a piece. So affordable!

They are in a base of Organic Coconut Wax, organic soy wax, non-GMO hydrogenated soy wax and "Pacifica's own fragrance blend with" different essential oils per various scent. IMO they smell natural and not artificial at all.

1. Mexican Cocoa
Has essential oils of cinnamon and clove in it
I thought would be more chocolatey but is more cinnamoney spicey with a sweet hint of chocolate. Nice and mellow, what I call "warm" scent. After it sits on my wrist, I begin to notice sandalwood. Smells kinds sultry and sensous now. Probably a good scent for going out or having a hot night with your partner.

2. Malibu Lemon Blossom
has eo's of litsea cubeba, lemon, and lemon blossom
More floral-ly than I expected but definitley smells like lemon. I like lemon so this is a good thing. Kind of like a seaside garden. Lemony and florally. Cute, innocent, and carefree. A spring and summer scent but I'd wear it year round.

All in all, I like them. I will probably be buying more since there are so many to try and they are pretty cheap.

Thanks for the review - I'd like to hear if someone here can recommend other perfumes.

I have tried this one: http://www.theorganicbodycareshop.co...tica_-_Lavande

It is so good I really have to buy it. And this coming from someone who hates perfumre. I've never worn it - not even back when I was less natural.

Someone once told me to buy jasmine essential oil - big mistake!

Theres no essential oil- only Jasmine absolute

I like it very much! In a nice dilution, Kind of smells the way honey should taste

Yes, you are right - I forgot. Maybe I didn't dilute it enough. It smelled like cheap and old fashioned perfume to me. I'd like suggestions as to what kind of base oil to use, how much you dilute it and possible mixes with other essential oils. Anyone?

TIA

Thanks

Thank you for your review. I just discovered these perfumes today (in my local Borders, for 9 dollars. As a side note, Borders also introduced me to Burt's Bees a few years ago, when it was not available everywhere). I have also been looking for natural perfumes for some time and I particularly wanted a solid type.

These smell beautiful. I picked one up from the shelf and I couldn't put it back. I bought the Tuscan Blood Orange and the Tahitian Gardenia. I feel I am going to become addicted to this stuff. It doesn't seem to last too long, but I made my peace with that.

I think I need to go to Borders.....

Just wanted to say, I've been using Pacifica's soy candles for years. I also LOVE the Tuscan Blood Orange and the Mexican Cocoa. Yum.

Our nearest Borders didn't have Pacifica stuff.
That or it was too well hidden?

What a great review. I'll have to look for these, too. Thanks!

I love them too-lemon, oraange, mango and grapefruit too. They seem to be lasting me awhile but I have those 3 currently.

I despise "regular" parfum, cologne, etc. that gives me headaches and stings my eyes. Yes, I am very sensitive.
