**Pics added in Post 11**
Our baby girl Rowan was born at home on Sunday Dec 7th at 3:41 am. She weighed in at 12 pounds (a record for both the midwives that were attending us
) and was 22.5 inches long.
It was my third back labor, but unlike my first two, Rowan decided she was coming out with a unique perspective and was born not exactly posterior, but turned somewhat sideways "left occiput posterior" is what the midwife called it I believe... may she always be blessed with the ability to see things from a different point of view.
Hope to be back to post some pics and write out my birth story sometime soon, trying to get lots of rest. We're doing well, I'm healing up quickly (one minor tear). Rowan lost a bit more than 10%, so we're doing lots of nursing and rest together.
congrats to all the families of the new babies and good luck to all the waiting mamas... can't wait to get back on and read all your stories.
love,
Claire, Rowan, and family
