Need some GOOD comebacks please!!!

Thread Starter
I will be having my third (and last) girl in March. Dh and I are thrilled quite honestly. As you can imagine, we've gotten the usual "was this pg planned?" "were you trying for a boy" "are you going to try again for a boy?" etc. I need some really snappy comebacks.

I have NO problem being rude, sarcastic or snarky when people ask me these asinine questions so feel free to let loose please. Thanks.

"Were you trying for a boy?"
"No, we were trying for a monkey"

Or a human, or a healthy new baby, or anything else that fills in the blank.

Or you can just say to the person that its really rude to assume you didn't want another girl and that the gender of your children is inconsequential to your love for them.

I might be dealing with the exact opposite experience (I have two boys, and am pregnant again). I think that if ppl make the commes about a boy to you, you should say, "What's wrong with another girl?" It will make them feel stupid for their insensitive comment.

Whenever people get invasive and cross boundaries, I blow it off humorously with: "Whoa there! You're entering a secure area wanting that information! Authorized personnel only!"

Q: "Was it planned?"
A: "Are you seriously asking questions about my sex life?"
or
"Actually, we planned to stop with a blowjob, but we got carried away."

Q: "Oh! Were you hoping to have a boy this time?"
A: "Why do you ask? Were you hoping to say something intelligent this time?"

Q: "Are you going to keep trying for a boy?"
A: "Are you going to keep trying for a brain?"

Or, you can always use one of the uber-polite Miss Manners responses, and you can make them as cold and cutting as you wish by changing your tone or your expression slightly: "Why would you ask such a personal question?" "Forgive my surprise, but I'm not accustomed to people asking me such rude questions."

BTW, congratulations on your girl! That is awesome!

My husband told people when we were expecting our first that we had planned to sell it on the black market, but the profit in America was less than we had expected.

The best, I think, is a simple, polite, "Why do you ask?"

Well, after this we're going to have three boys, so it'll be even.

LOL, thanks! It's esp. funny as a last resort against rude and relentless older relatives/inlaws/church members. I'm certain that they think I'm the devil.

MusicianDad, that's a great response, except that the last part implies that there's something wrong with being fat. Being fat is not ugly, immoral, or evil. Nor is it even unhealthy in every case. Besides, the comeback has even more shock value if you say, "I'm not pregnant, I'm just getting fat! You got a problem with that?"

LOVE this!! Won't work for us right now (since we are "even") but I'm gonna use it if I ever get a chance! LOL! Right now we're getting "Two boys and two girls--a perfect family! You'd better stop now!" comments. Very annoying, and very hard to answer. :

True, true... but I was thinking from the mind of the questioner... "What would be the response a woman can give to a pregnancy question to create the most uncomfortable situation possible?"

Well, that's easy... Saying she's not pregnant.
