"Easy" knit gloves for a man?

I'm looking for an easy pair of gloves to knit for my DH. I've been looking at "Gloves Can be Deceiving" on Knitty, but the fact that they're knit flat is actually a negative for me, since I prefer working in the round. I know "easy" is a relative term, but I'm looking for something that I can work on in the evenings and not have to worry so much about that I can't set them down to make dinner, etc.

He won't wear mittens, since the main reasons for gloves are for driving (the heater in his car doesn't work so well any more), and for when he's at home using the computer (we keep the house pretty darned cold).

Anybody have any suggestions?

Mostly subbing because I've knit cute mittens, but my one try at gloves was a disaster. There was a huge hole in the palm. I knit my MIL some "wrist warmers" for typing. I was a mitten patten, but I stopped the fingers and the thumbs after the knuckles. She said they were good for the computer.

Actually, he discovered last night that the touch-pad on the computer doesn't respond to gloved fingers, so Cigar would work perfectly! Thanks!

And if you wanted to dispense with fingers altogether, I love Dashing.
