WTG Thismama!! You came across really well and did a great job representing the nursing mamas! Calm, informed, and strong. I'm proud of you!!

(Beautiful baby and little girl, BTW!

I am so sorry you had to deal with this, though. You were just feeding your baby!! It just kills me that this is STILL a big deal to people. Seriously

Just an apology and a promise to tell employees is obviously not enough.
I agree, thismamma. Imagine ANY other group being discriminated against. Pick one. An apology, sorry we infringed upon your rights as a human being and member of xxxxx group, would just not cut it.

Thanks for all the help! I will let you know what transpires.
Good job, mama!
I'm a fellow Ontarian and work in the media. I think many newspapers would be interested in this as a story. PM me if you want ideas...

I'm so sorry that you had to endure all of this, but I'm so glad that you pursued this.
And that was an awesome news clip! You helped so many mothers by bringing that incident to light

Many of us prefer to maintain a certain level of privacy and anonymity online. It was kind of the OP to share the news story with us; we should respect her wishes in regards to quoting the url.

Yes, thanks lotusdebi.

I'm disappointed that the link was quoted. Please remove it. I have reported the post. I don't mind leaving it up for a bit but I want it to be up on my own terms.

Thanks to the vast majority of ppl for understanding!

Awesome job ThisMama!!

You were so well spoken. I think having these threads available for other people to view is also such a wonderful tool. I really hope no Woman has to go through what you did, but it is so great that we can have information readily available to share with others when it is needed!

Awesome awesome work Mama!

As a fellow Ontarian not too far from you, I want to say THANKS for handling this so well and taking it as an oportunity to educate the public at large. More people need to get this message more clearly that nursing mothers have RIGHTS and are not required to hide away or disapear.
