Tara, my first was a serious mama's boy. He wanted no one but me, and would scream for dh. I thought they'd never like each other, it was terrible. But around 12mos when I night weaned him he started to become more independant, and before I knew it he was all about daddy and could take or leave me!

Ainsley is such a daddy's girl it surprises me, since Colin only wanted me. Even with her not seeing him for weeks at a time, she still loves him to hold her and talk to her. So sweet!

I'm surprised I have a girl.

I'm surprised her labor was better than my son's.

I'm surprised that she's nothing like her brother at all. She is NOT easygoing like he was. She screams much more than he ever did, she likes to be walked around and held in the colic position, she MUST be in bed between 8:30 and 9:30 and she MUST be lying on her side next to me nursing in a dark room to sleep. She's just a lot crankier than ds.

I'm surprised that she sleeps so little, whereas ds slept TONS at this age.
