Cascade Foothills, about 400 feet, directly due east of Seattle. Due to the "rain/snow" shadow cast by the Olympics, we only have about a half inch. About 3-5 miles east they have 7 inches. It's CRAZY!
We're drowning in snow out here, I'm sooooo ready for this to be over! We're east of Bellevue/Redmond. : I just looked out the window, they don't plow our street but they do the one right above us, the plow is now stuck.
Greenwood in north seattle- about 6 inches. It was amazing watching the snow fall for like 8 hours straight. I am so thankful I am a SAHM. And I feel so bad that my husband has to go to work because of it. At least he is more confident driving than I am. You know cause I am from here and he's from Africa. I really just don't like driving in this stuff, and with the kids screaming in the background, I think it best I stay off the roads.
I think we ended up with a total of 27-30" in our yard from that first storm. It was pretty dry and fluffy though, and started compacting last night/today. It almost comes up to my 2.5yo's shoulders I think - scares him more than anything, even when he's all decked out like a marshmallow.
Good thing I know how to work the snowblower now, we'll see what arrives in the next few days...
