Chains are now required on vehicles on ALL HIGHWAYS in the Portland Metro area--not just I-5, but ALL of them. I-5 is now closed IN BOTH DIRECTIONS near Barbur due to weather-related incidents. U.S. 26 (Sunset Highway) westbound--going up the Sylvan Hill--is closed temporarily to help remove a number of vehicles that can't make it up the hill under these conditions.
