4 year old DS is finishing up

My sweet DS has almost quit the boob. Last week he nursed once, well, he attached sucked once and said that it was enough. Over the weekend he asked for milkies again, attached then immediately detached and said he was done. I'm torn on how I feel about it. I mean, he is over 4 years old, I guess it was his time to quit. However, I still find myself missing that nursing closeness and comfort sometimes. . .especially when I am putting him down at night (it was way easier to nurse him to sleep). I'm also a little sad because this means he's growing up. . .wah, I'm not ready for him to grow up

Congrats! My 4.5 y.o. is still in the process. He'll go 1.5 weeks then ask (and get), go another week, go 2 weeks, and so on. I think he went a month over the summer, and just when I was going to "call it" he asked. Long process!
