My family always goes to a movie on Christmas Day - kind of a family outing thing in the afternoon after presents are done. So many are coming out this Christmas!
  • Bedtime Stories - Disney movie w/ Adam Sandler, Courtney Cox, Keri Russell
  • Marley & Me - w/ Jennifer Aniston & Owen Wilson
  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button - w/ Brad Pitt
  • Valkyrie - Tom Cruise movie
  • The Spirit - Frank Miller movie w/ Scarlett Johansson, etc

While Brad Pitt's getting buzz for Benjamin Button, Valkyrie does look kind of interesting, and The Spirit looks cool visually, I think Bedtime Stories will be a nice, heartwarming movie the fam will enjoy What will you & your family be watching come Christmas?

My family always watches "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby on DVD Christmas afternoon. But we'll be with Mark's family, and they watch LoTR over Christmas.

I don't know that we've ever been to a movie on Christmas day. Though we saw all three LotR movies (again) the day after. And probably the Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe, too.

If we watch a movie it'll probably be It's a Wonderful Life. Zuzu's petals!!

none of the above, we don't go out to the movies on Christmas and I really don't understand the tradition of doing that.

We don't go a movie on Christmas day, but usually see one over Winter Vacation. This year I would guess it will be Bolt or Tale of Despereaux.

I've never been to the movies on Christmas Day.

I do miss the LOTR and Harry Potter movies coming out around Christmastime. I LOVED that being part of our pre-Christmas routine while it lasted. I was very disappointed that HP was held back for a summer release.

So...I went to see Twilight twice.

We went to at least one of the LOTR movies (Two Towers, I think) on Christmas day, but that's the only time I've ever gone to a movie on Christmas.

If we have the TV on, it will either be to watch a Christmas movie (whether one we own or a rental) or to watch a new movie. If the kids get a movie from anyone, they may want to watch it, and we'd probably let them.

As it stands, I'm not planning to watch any movies on Christmas.

Kind of changed the poll question to what you'll be watching over the holidays! I just mentioned Christmas because that seems to be the day that all the movies will be release So....will you be planning on watching any of those movies with the kiddies over the holiday break?

I voted Benjamin Button and Spirit, because those are my most likely to watch. I love going to the movies on holidays! Get out of the house, they're the only place open, etc.

At home, it's a tradition in my family to watch Love Actually and make cookies at some point. Maybe on Xmas eve...

Likely not on xmas day exactly, but soon after, we all want to see Marley and Me.

We just saw Four Christmases and all loved it . . . even the little guy, who I expected to sleep, followed the story and talked about it after.

We won't go on Christmas day because that is the only time we have with my sister and her family, but my son (age 14), husband and I want to see Valkyrie. One of us will have to stay home with the younger kids, though.

My son works at our theater so we see quite a few movies for free (sweet!)

We will probably go see Benjamin Buttons on Sunday after Christmas. We just watched The Family Man today which is a holiday tradition as well as It's A Wonderful Life on christmas afternoon.

Happy Movie watching and discussing,

Haha, that is pretty sweet that you can see movies for free! Yeah, Benjamin Button has been getting lots of buzz - seems like that is what the majority of people want to see. I think I will eventually end up watching that, but after reading these reviews of that Adam Sandler movie, I'll watch this first. Seems like he has successfully transferred from his usual brand of comedy to more "family" oriented films. Ha, what parenting can do to ya!
