Here I am working so hard on feeding DD TF style foods...

And she had herself a little crayon feast yesterday, as evidenced by her technicolor diaper today...

(28 months)

We all had a nibble when we were little I suppose so it's somewhat traditional, right?

oh dear, I guess that was on her menu hopefully she is fine...

Since crayons are mostly wax and dye, I can't image very much was actually absorbed by her body. We had a dog who used to eat crayons - made it easier to spot her messes in the yard.

Hope her tummy wasn't upset!

Her belly was fine, her bottom was red a little and I think that was just from the.. uhm.. grit.

I figure little of it got absorbed, I'm totally not freaked out. It's just been so trying feeding her lately - she refuses nearly everything and just wants animal crackers and other foods that are usually labeled toddler foods but are really junk. I've been cooking all her favorites thinking that'd help but she just refuses and asks for crackers. : Or apparently, eats crayons.

That's just wrong, and yet so toddler-ish. Your next little one is due pretty soon, right? My daughter got so clingy and whiny and extreme in the weeks before I was due with #2, I think they really do know.

DS did that a couple of times too. Just imagine how much worse her diet would be if she ate the SAD plus crayons, rather than TF plus crayons!

might want to get some beeswax crayons in case she decides to make it part of her diet!

I had to switch to beeswax crayons when my son was younger because he would invariably eat them no matter how hard I tried to keep him from doing so. It also got me started on making my own playdough, too, because he also really liked eating that as well. Kids!
