Waters Broke! *update finally!*

My waters broke today! While it started out being a stressful situation, what with the hospital insisting I must come in and be checked out with speculum, etc, but I'm feeling much happier about it now. I'm not going to go into the hospital until I'm in active labour, which I think is starting to pick up. Loads of really good, strong contractions. And bloody show.

Isla June was born 18 Dec at 5.12pm after 5.5 hours of induced labour! Weighed 9 lbs 1 oz.

Active labour never really started up after waters broke, so I was induced 48 hours later. It was a VBAC so I was terrified of induction but didn't want repeat section, so I agreed to a slow drip of Syntocinon (same as Pitocin). I did it! Used only gas and air and a shot of Diamorphine.

She's great! A little drowsy still from drugs but feeding pretty well. I just can't believe I got my VBAC!!!
