I am a little angry (and a restoration question)

at my MIL for not researching about circ : I am sure my dh's grandfather was intact, I haven't asked but he wouldn't know anyways. But he's family is 100% Cuban (only that his mom was raised in the US), so I have a feeling that his family are all intact except his cousins since they are all born in the US.

My husband feels 'weird' doing any sort of restoration. I presented him a video: Non-surgical Foreskin Restoration and he was actually paying attention to the whole video! A lot of young men in this video (many from SGI) were trying to restore their foreskin. The downside is that he doesn't see himself wearing such devices 24/7. Is there anything he could wear at home only, and see any results? He is a teacher so that's why it will be weird for him to wear this kind of thing during class. Any advice?

Well, I dont understand why he has a problem wearing it while he is at school. No one will be able to tell he is wearing it anyway, and its not some sexual play toy, so there is nothing inappropriate about it.

But, he does not have to wear it 24/7, and actually he probably should not wear it 24/7. Doing so may cause damage, and the skin should get "break periods" regularly. But on the other hand, if he is not wearing it enough, restoration will take longer to complete.

In the end though, restoration is a very personal choice, and maybe not the best choice for all guys. If he finds this "weird" and does not really want to restore, then maybe he should reconsider restoring in the first place, or at least put it off until he has enough personal drive to take on this project fully. (and at the very least, until he feels comfortable with the idea)

There are also manual restoration methods. I believe the one I looked into was Doug's (or Greg's) Manual Restoration Site. Might have it bookmarked somewhere.

Restoration and 24/7?

24/7 traction is not necessary. However the time it takes to restore is proportional to the amount of time when tension is applied to the skin that needs to be expanded/restored.

thus, it would be possible to do restoration at home and on weekends.

I agree with the others that there really is no problem wearing a device at work. If the men's room is the issue in question, just use the stall.

Restoration is really worth it. My wife and I really appreciate the results.

There is no consensus on how long during a given day anyone needs to keep tension on in order to restore. Manula methods are typically in the range of 20-30 min twice a day, so that could be a good choice for him perhaps.

Tpae methods can be used for a few hours to 24 hrs a day with good success, based on the reports of others. I personally use tpae and an insert for about 6 hrs a day, so this could be accomodated after school. I suspect I could be just as effective with even less time, but have not experimented enough to know for sure, plus, for me, it is just as easy to leave it on for longer.

Devices can also be sused for short periods. The amount of tension seems to me like it is more important than the length of time.

Feel free to have him pm me if he wants to discuss it and get soem ideas. There are other forums for me restoring as well that he may want to visit.

I am sure he can come up with a routine that suites both of you in terms of not interfering too much with your lifestyle. It just takes soem experimentation. But it is very well worth it.

The foreskin isn't the wrapper, it's the candy.

My DH uses the TLC Tugger only at night while he sleeps. He is not comfortable wearing it during the day, especially not out of the house! He's been doing it for a year (though he's slacked off a bit in the last few months and isn't wearing it every night anymore), and he's gained about an inch of movable skin! It's a long process but we have both already seen the benefits! An inch of skin has virtually eliminated me being sore after sex. And it's just getting better!

Is your DH interested in restoration?

I am not 100% sure, but he seems interested in the video. I am sure if I get him 'something' to restore probably he will try it. He is so freaking shy when it comes to talking to me about these things. It's weird, we've been married 11 years already But he is even shy to be naked around me isn't that weird? But I know him, and I am sure he had questioned his circ. Greg what is your website? I will like to send him your website link on an email.

thanks for all the responses, sorry I took so long replying... I've been sick - got up yesterday with a huge pain in the neck and I can't barely turn my head, it's painful to be sitting down :

What he'll do is use an active tension device 12 - 16 hours per day, and wear a passive retainer during the school day. The retainer is just a silicone rubber cone that helps his skin stay rolled forward over his glans. It's comfortable and discreet under briefs.
