Paralyzed & Pregnant (Discovery Health)

Did anyone else catch this?

I really admire Michelle for going through all that she did in order to have her son. There are parts though, especially immediately after the birth when her baby was fighting to breathe and whisked off to NICU that are . . . . uncomfortable. Like she & her husband were so focused on making sure the cord blood was collected instead of going with him to nursery.
What did you think?

i found the show interesting on many levels but mostly from a functional perspective like how she was caring for the baby and her side effects while pregnant. (i'm a physiotherapist that works in a rehabilitation setting with people with spinal cord injuries).
as far as the nicu thing goes, it just seemed like there was so much going on and mom seemed a little out of it; it just seemed like things got lost in the shuffle? i'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt since the room seemed rather chaotic and the both seemed very involved/attentive, etc the whole rest of the show.
on a side note, did it say if she pumped for her son? i might be making that up; just curious!
overall, i found the family to be rather inspiring. definitely makes me appreciate my family and my ability to do things. (hope that didn't sound put downish; totally not my intention!)

I found the focus on the cord blood odd also. I even thought, is that why they had this baby, for the cord blood? After watching the whole show I don't really think that is why but while they were showing the birth it did cross my mind. I wished that they would have explained better how mobil she was before she got pregnant. It was unclear to me how much she could do for herself before the pregnancy. She seemed so frustrated that she cannot sit up, I can only imagine!!! I really felt for her husband! What an amazing guy! My husband couldn't handle it and he is pretty great!

I wish they would do an update to this show and let us see how they are doing now that the baby is older and mobile. I think they are an inspiration to a lot of people!
