Trader Joe's Organic Butter

Seems like everywhere I go is sold out of Kerrygold lately. But I was pleasantly surprised by the bright yellow color of TJ's organic butter. Is this just because it was probably from Spring-Summer milk, or do you think there is something fishy going on? Or is organic butter usually decent vitamin-wise?

I dont' know but I have both of them in my fridge right now and they are the exact same color.

the Weston A Price 2008 shopping guide puts the TJ's organic butter in the "best" category along with Kerrygold and some others.

Cool! I'll have to check the price next time I'm there. That may be a great alternative.

That's great to know!

I've been buying the TJ's organic butter because it's convenient (I go to TJ's nearly every week, sometimes twice), tasty, and the cheapest place for organic butter locally. I never stopped buying organic butter even when the budget doesnt' allow for organic milk- I figure this is a more concentrated source of the good stuff from milk and anyway the taste just doesn't compare!

You recieve the shopping guide when you join the WAPF foundation.
Its the best $40 you will spend, since as members of WAPF, you are able to get lots of discounts from many WAPF friendly vendors, the magazine, and various other items.
Get on the bandwagon. Its a great ride:
