if you want to share your "stats"...

I know some don't want to have cervical checks, but if you do/have had one, let's see where we all are!

I'm 37 weeks, had my GBS swab yesterday and they went ahead and checked my cervix.....60% effaced, 2 cm, -4 station. Baby's weight estimate was 7 lb 5 oz....I have bigger babies, so this is probably fairly accurate (I'd say give or take 1/2 lb).

37 weeks today. Only up 11 lbs so far. GBS negative. Always borderline anemic so working on that. No cervical checks required until 40 weeks.

Just got back...36w6d

2cm, 75% effaced, and he said baby is 'right there' so i don't know if that is 0 or what

36 weeks 5 days. had GBS done today. I am 1/2cm, and baby is head down. Nothing else to report.

36 weeks 6 days

Midwives checked on tues and I was STILL 1-2 cm and 50% effaced...but I know thats changed, I think Im more effaced by now

Contractions all the time just no cervical changes

50% effaced & 0 station on 12/9 at 36 weeks. 37w 2 d today.
38 weeks (on the nose!)

GBS negative, 0% effacement, 0 cm, station -3 or -4, but we are head down

Next week I'm anticipating a little more change on the stats front... hopefully!

GBS negative! :

1 CM dialated.... very soft and squishy cervix... don't know about effacement...
37 w 3 days

NO PROGRESS! Still 50-60% effaced, still 1-2 cm dialated, and still having insane contractions for a WEEK now!

Monitor showed the contractions are stronger, still just not dialating anymore

Gained 9lbs this apt, and my b/p is up, so the midwives offered induction, but guarenteed that I would be in the hospital over xmas...Dh and I arent big on xmas, but the hospitals the last place I want to spend the day(especially having to give up my hb to do it!)...so wait it out ANOTHER week, on bedrest, having crazy painful contractions, throwing up and blacking out...OH THE JOY!

measuring small?

I'm 37 weeks & 3 days.
Today my midwife checked & I'm 2 cm & 50% effaced, but my belly is measuring 35 weeks.
I'm confused!! Does measuring small mean the dilation doesn't count?
Does it mean I'm actually "less" done than I think I am? I only thought to ask now

Sometimes when baby drops you go backwards a little in your measurement. I am guessing your mw will watch to see what you measure at your next appt, and pay attention to signs of fetal distress. No, it shouldn't change your due date!

Im measuring REALLY small...I should be measuring just under 37 weeks and im measuring 33 weeks...The midwives were worried about me and sent me to get sizing u/s which I dont believe are very accurate...and its got the baby measuring at 34 1/2 weeks which is small but noone seems to worried...

I wouldn't stress...again, it could be babys position...or a MILLION other reasons!

thanks!! that is reassuring to hear.
guess we'll see next week!!

i'm only in a tiny bit of a hurry b/c i'd hate to miss my mom's semester break - life would be much easier with 3 kids & a newborn if she was around to help for a couple of weeks! i know theres not really any hurrying, but it scared me to think i might only be at 35 weeks...

38 week today I am at -2 station (which is progress), still only 1 1/2cm, 20% effaced, things are much softer down there, but cervix is still very posterior.

Oh, and I am GBS negative.
At last week's check I was 37 weeks.

4 cm dilated
50% effaced
38 weeks, 2 days

GBS negative

4 cms, 100% effaced (for at least the past 2 weeks). Baby's head is "right there" and no weight estimate given (or wanted!).

MW says I must be her next to go, because she keeps having dreams about needing to rush out of her holiday parties to get to me!

Haven't had a VE, but I'm GBS negative.:

I tried finding my cervix, but I couldn't! So either I'm not ready, or I'm lousy at checking my own cervix!

Okay...Getting nervous over here!!

I went to the doc today and he said that I'm still 2, he didn't say effacement but last week I was 75%, he said she's as low as she's gonna get until I'm IN labor, and that my bag was totally bulging.

SOOO anyway have this experience with previous lo?

He said if he was a betting man, he thinks I'd go within 24-36 hrs.

Anyone have any stories or know anyone that had a bulging bag and how long it took them to go into labor?

updating for this week - we are now almost 39 week (off by a day!)

Last check on Monday - 1 good cm dialated and a "squishy" cervix. Apparently its go-time anyday day now, which is funny because since Monday Ive been having regular ctx. Thank god I didn't let him strip my membranes otherwise this would have been a "welcome baby...." post. I want to be done being pregnant just not on my doc's timetable

I did't have a ve today, but baby is still high. I don't expect she'll really drop until labor begins, though. At today's BPP the fluid level was low, so I go back in on Monday for another BPP. I'll be drinking lots of water. She's still moving around good, though, so hopefully all is well. I'm thinking she'll make her arrival late next week--but who knows?!
