if you want to share your "stats"... - Page 2

I just saw the MW last night. I had a couple hours of serious contraction action two days earlier so she asked if she could check me. I still don't put a lot of stock in cervical checks but couldn't help but feel excited when she told me the baby's head was "right there", my cervix was like butter, and I'm 3 cm dilated! : She doesn't think I'll make it to next week.

Just got back from the OB. Head is down, GBS negative....but cervix tight as a drum. Only good part is he was able to find my cervix, while the nurse 2 weeks ago couldn't. So I'm taking that as progress. ^.^

Im 38w5d today

saw midwives on mon, lost 5lbs(hopefully a sign), b/ps gone down,so no induction YET!!!!

Didn't do an internal, she said that she could feel that the baby was lower then last week(which i know it is..just didnt think it was possible!!)

Feeling super ill, having MAJOR contractions at night, cramping and bh during the day

Sigh... 38+3. Probably 3-4cm dilated, constant contractions, TONS of freaking plug mucus. I don't know how much can possibly be left in there!

Shall be trying to naturally induce tonight... wish us luck!

37 weeks and 3 days today

Had a MW appt Mon. Blood pressure good, weight good, GBS+:, and haven't had & don't want a ve.

I'm just impatiently waiting to feel something soon!!!!!!! I'm so freaking ready.

38+4 today. I went to the OB on Monday and saw the CNM. I did not do a VE, which is just as well since I am GBS+. This is a new one for me, and I was really hoping not to have and IV during delivery this time. I can have a heplock, and I won't be tethered to the bed for all of labor, but I didn't want one at all.

She also did a very quick u/s as she was not certain WHAT little girl was doing in there. She is head down, she was just laying on her side with her hip sticking out. I had only gained 1 lb. in 2 weeks, so I think I am just about there. I have a good number of contractions in a day, but nothing patternable or timeable. Just enough to wake me up. We tried to help things along two nights ago, but even DTD didn't make the contractions stronger or more regular, so I am thinking it will be next week sometime. We shall have to see.

39 + 4 today. Last VE was two weeks ago, when I was 70% effaced and 2 cm dilated. GBS +. Baby is about as dropped as he or she can be without the head coming out of me altogether!

Several false alarms with lots of crampiness and strong contractions ten minutes apart that dissolve into nothing.

My MW had kept saying that she didn't think I was going to make it to my EDD, but at this rate, I may very well make it there and beyond. I'm just eager for it to happen before Saturday, because DH is off work. Then I'll be nervous Saturday until Sunday morning, when DH gets home and has two days off again... the suspense is making me a little crazy! :

39+1 yesterday. Was having ctx for over 24 hours, so apprentice came last night to check. Still a fingertip dilated, now 70% effaced and baby is down to -1 station. So I have had a little progress, but not much.

On Monday I was 36 weeks, 3 days. 3cm, 90%, and -2. GBS + Lots of contractions since then, so I am hopeful it will be soon!
Well, I am now 37 weeks, 3 days and have moved on to 4cm, 90% and -1.

Today was the first time I was ever checked...so here goes!

at 36 weeks 4 days:

50% effaced
2cm dilated external os (1 cm internal os)
Baby is high -4 (they always are until I'm in labor)
Buttery soft cervix
Cervix low

He's head down and has been for a while, but he's facing the wrong way. I'm going to see if I can't get him to do a little turn around.

had the GBS test done, so will find out about that soon.

40 + 2 today. 4 cm dilated, 90% effaced, baby's head "right there", cervix soft, soft, soft (i.e. no reason I shouldn't be in labor right now).

Ctx of varying intensities all over the dang place, baby posterior but hoping that all of my baby spinning techniques will encourage him/her to turn before or during labor.

Oh, and it's like nails on a chalkboard to me each time DH or I get a phone call, text message, e-mail, etc., asking, "Where's Peanut?"

Had appt yesterday I'm FINALLY measure on track ( I have two due dates, one based on LMP, one on the ultrasound, but Ive been measuring behind too so.... just been a spot of annoyance, but not concern) 39 weeks. GBS- Didn't do a VE, but feeling very uncomfortable, so, now we wait.

this is why everyone is instructed to check the website we have at babyhomepages.net. and not to call. I also had a friend, who was "overdue" getting calls every day, so she just changed her voicemail on her phone to say, You've reached so and sos phone, baby is not hear yet, mom is doing well and feeling well. For updates please check this website(she got one too!). If you need to reach me, please leave a message, and I will return calls as soon as I can. Thanks again for sharing in our excitement and joy.

This way she could answer who she wanted to talk to, and for the others, just checking in, they could get their answers too!

New stats:

38 weeks 1 days (at appt date)

STILL 2cm on outside, less inside
STILL -4 and floating
Cervix still soft and low

She said she estimates 2-2 1/2 more weeks! He's still posterior too, but head down.

GBS Negative, thank goodness
