First off Congrats : to all the mommies with babies and to all the mommies waiting!

Maya Lee was born on 12/12 weighing 8 lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long.

I was up most of the night Thursday with random contractions, nausea, and cramping. I knew she was gonna be born on Friday LOL. Around 7ish am my water broke. This is a totally new thing for me and I blame it on the full moon LOL. I was getting random contractions but not real painful or regular so we suck around the house, I cleaned up, packed my bag LOL. Dh dropped our 2 bigger kids off at a friends. I had an appt at ten so we headed to that got in to see the midwife around 11:30 confirmed my water breaking, and checked me I was at 4 cm. Still not really in labor just random "wimpy" contractions. She sent me over to L+D for an NST. I finally got off the NST at like 12:00-12:30. I still was not in real labor but I knew it was close. DH and I walked around the L+D floor. After about 2 laps real contractions started coming. We do two more laps and I'm needing to stop and breath through contracts. We get back to the room and I start needing my MP3 and everyone to be quiet during contractions. Do one more lap of L+D like this. After we get back to the room I have midwife check me. This was at 1:30, I was at 5 almost 6 so we headed over to the birth center(in hospital). We get over there and I pace for little bit, I just wanted to be left alone. Things were really starting to get intense and I needed to focus on my music and my body. Everyone just left me alone. I lost track of time at this point and was starting to get a little worried. I knew I would go quick once labor started but I was thinking like 4ish hrs like my last two. The way I was feeling I had no clue how I would make it another few hrs. I had no idea I was in transition. Finally they got to bad to pace anymore so I got in the tub. One contraction later I felt her come right down and was like baby is coming NOW! OMG I had the incredible urge to push! I never felt that with either of my other kids but dang there was no way I wasn't pushing her out. It was just uncontrollable! I also felt that ring of fire this time (didn't feel that one the last time either) and ouch . Anyway about 3 pushes later at 2:01 my baby girl came out with her hand on her face! Surprisingly I hardly tore :. Its a good thing she was number three LOL. She was my first water birth and I really think that helped get her out with the funny presentation. I knew she was not in the proper position but I couldn't figure out what was off. I had been doing tons of pelvic tilts and stuff thinking she was posterior or something. I could just tell something was off...... Anyway it was by far my quickest easiest labor. I am very thankful I had an Dr appt or I'm pretty sure she would have been born on the side of the highway. By the time I really felt like real labor she was born!

I took all these today..... so she is one week and one day old :::sniff::::

Congratulations!
My babe had a hand up by his face too, I thought he was posterior and that was making funny contrax, but it might've just been that little hand/arm!

Enjoy your little one, and I wish you a speedy recovery!
