Homebirth turned c-section.
Wow! That is an incredible story. I am soo soo sorry that you had to have the surgery, but if ever there was a situation that calls for it - man! I kind of can't believe it - I would have freaked out to reach out and have my baby grasp my finger - what an incredible experience. I wouldn't second-guess yourself - I think the positioning can sometimes change right at the end. Sounds like you did all you could. Here's hoping for a good recovery.
Congrats on the birth of your daughter! She is adorable
I'm sorry your birth did not turn out how you hoped Your story was amazing. I am glad all turned out well and that you and babe are together in one anothers arms. I wish you a fast and peaceful recovery and hope you enjoy your babymoon.
Ember is really beautiful, mama. What an amazing story! You did awesome!!! I know it's not what you wanted and hope you are able to find peace about it - you really did EVERYTHING you could to make your birth amazing. How incredible that you were able to hold your baby's hand while she was still inside. I bet she's going to love hearing that story over and over as she gets older!
Take good care and I'm sending energy for a speedy recovery from your surgery.
Congratulations and thank you for sharing your birth story with us. You're such a strong mama! I've met a few homebirthing women who've wound up with cesareans, and sometimes no matter what we do and aside from our expectations our babies have their own idea how they want to enter the world. Hope that you're able to make peace with everything.
What an amazing birth story! I'm so sorry that it ended in a c-section, but it really seems like you tried Everything possible! You are an amazing mama.
