What can I do with cooking cream?

My roommate left some food with me when she left. I have a little carton of heavy cooking cream and not many ideas on what to do with it. She also left some canned tomatoes (opened) that need to be used asap. Can I make some kind of pasta dish with cream sauce using the cream?

I may use some of the cream in my hot chocolate for an extra rich treat It is Christmas after all!

tomatoes and cream go very well together. You can add it at the end of any tomato sauce dish to make a creamy sauce.

if you have garlic, italian seasoning, parmesean cheese, you can make a core tomato sauce.

I don't have any of that cheese,but could get some. I do have lots of garlic though. Can I add Shallots? Aren't the like onions?

Is cooking cream like heavy cream or whipping cream?

One of my favorite pasta sauces is a lemon garlic cream sauce. Google for a recipe. I think it would be quite tasty with the tomatoes added at the end.
