Everyone braced for the storm? I am sitting here waiting for some more snow. I think flipping a coin might be as accurate as the weather people

We're getting some wind. But they're saying it's not supposed to be as bad as first predicted, thank goodness!

My oldest and I dug out our generators today and got everything ready, just in case. Now we're sitting in a nice warm house with electricity and watching more snow come down. We're out in the foothills so who knows what the evening will bring!

I'm hoping for a quick thaw soon though! :

Its been snowing here since I went to check the mail at 2:30, which wasn't here yet :irk

Hasn't stopped snowing since then and I am quite tired of it at this point, especially with DH in Iraq.

It's pretty nasty out over here. I can't really tell if it's snowing or it's just snow being blown around from what was left over from the last storm, but visibility is low and the wind is sure picking up. We haven't had any huge gusts yet, but time will tell if we will. They are saying we haven't yet had the the worst of it. Wait...I just checked outside and it looks like we probably have at least an inch or so of new snow...I think.

I have power too. So much for the horrible 43 MPH winds that were predicted by the weather service.

I watched the news this morning and didn't hear of any widespread power outages, so I'm guessing if there were any they were minor. I'll watch later to see if I'm right. It didn't seem like it was too terrible. For awhile I thought it was going to be, because it looked pretty bad, but the wind gusts were only occasional and not constant at all. Our power flickered only once and thank goodness didn't go out.

It just started snowing again. I am so sick of this.

It wouldn't be so bad if I had family nearby or my DH home. Even my cat is getting tired of the snow, she looked out the window last night and whined

The power went out here for about two minutes at 11:45 last night. We're out in the foothills so I'm really glad the winds didn't come like they were thinking they would!

I just went out to shovel some snow earlier and it's a mess, we got another 4 inches last night and then there's a layer of ice and a bit more snow on top of that. I'm done, I want out, I need out - WAAAAAAH!

I told DH when he called this morning that I quit winter and I am rethinking the need to move somewhere that gets actual snow. I swear, it only snows like this when he is deployed.

One of the neighbors drove by on his riding lawn mower, that was quite comical.
