Our little one arrived at 5:04 this morning dec. 20th. (my dads birthday) My edd was 12/19. Labor started at around 11:30 pm on 12/19 and for the first time ever I was able to time my surges. They were 6 min apart and lasting not quite 1 min. I tried to sleep but couldn't. Woke up dh and called the midwife at 2:45am. Everyone arrived by 3:15 ish. We got everything set up and I hopped in the tub. At that point the surges were about 2min. apart and lasting 1-2 min. I had back labor but don't know why as the positioning appeared fine. It was uncomfortable but tolerable. Thank God for Hypnobirthing. I got out of the tub for a few min. as I was getting hot and needed to poop. I actually did poop and almost had the baby on the toilet. Both of my midwives grabbed me and helped me back to the tub. I jumped in and birthed the head. Then dh ran in the room (he was waking up ds 1 and 2) and hopped in the tub and was the first one to touch our baby as it came into the world. Started breathing right away and pinked up quickly. Then we took a peek and realized that it was a.......................
GIRL
We were all in total shock. She is 7lbs 14oz and 20.5 inches long. She is absolutely adorable. I can't believe that I have a little girl, I didn't think it was possible. I was totally fine either way and had absolutely no idea that I would be this excited that she is a girl. But I am and she is absolutely adorable
