Wow, that is very interesting.
It is sad that there is this connection of putting everyone on Pitocin whether they need it or not, then forcing a C-section when things don't go fast enough. Then there's the whole episotiomy issue, which also seems to be related to not letting birth at a natural pace. I hope I never have to have a baby in a hospital. It would be so terrible to make homebirth illegal. And how to enforce that? Fines? CPS? Making moms wait in the hospital 2 weeks before they are due? There's no need to take away people's freedom.

Interesting movie.

Karen Strange, the midwife that is being interviewed in the movie is our neighbor.

Yulia that's pretty cool

and yeah I am so irked about the episiotomy done to me with my first : I have been a victim of genital mutilation myself and I am so mad about it, and there is nothing I can do. It's horrible and I hate it. At least, every time I change my son's diapers I feel the best human being in the world, the best mom and it feels like I have protected my son specially having him delivered at home. So sad I never looked into midwifery with my first or second. Now looking back, my first daughter was brought to this world just like they showed it in this trailer, how horrible horrible!!!!
