What do you do with all your "stuff"?

When you are done with it? Do you sell it on ebay, yard sales, give it away, homeschool swaps?

DD is just 3 1/2 so the things we're done with aren't officially HS items, but would be useful to another HS family with toddlers/preschooler ; Brainquest cards, scholastic books, Melissa and Doug puzzles and games, Reader Rabbit and other software, science books, etc.

On the past I've just passed on all our "stuff" to other moms I know, but now I'd like to find a way to get the educational/ better quality items to a family who is or plans to HS. At this point I don't know any HS families with kids younger than mine.

For some of my curriculum I've sold it and then put that $toward the next level(like selling Math-U-See Alpha to buy Beta). Smaller game things I've passed on, or just held onto for one of the other kids. I bet your preschool activities would sell on Craigslist fast(I'm always looking for M&D puzzles) and then you could use that to buy her things more on her level.

I've given stuff away on Freecycle, and I've also brought things to various hs park days or meetings and just set them out with a sign saying, "FREE." It disappears pretty quickly.

We haven't gotten rid of anything yet.

Well I have two younger ones in line to use most of it still, but the stuff that we found we didn't use or didn't "work" goes to my hsing SIL. The stuff that we will be done with (7 plus years for the stuff we are using now) will go to my sister who doesn't have kids yet, but will be homeschooling them. It's a family thing.

This would be me. I've gotten rid of two books that go with a program we don't use.

Honestly, I keep out of date things around because I like to be able to use them on another level when we cycle back to the subject and I use them when I babysit. They're great for keeping kids occupied.

i sell my things on homeschoolclassifeds.com - i've always had great success selling there. i've also posted on my local homeschool yahoo group...i've had luck that way as well.
