Gosh it seems 4ever since I last posted! My lovely cat chewed threw my computer cord and we have been with out the net for a week now!!! In the midst of not having my computer I had my wonderful sweet little baby boy!!!!
Finnley Tokala Disch!!!

:
He was a teensy 7.6 (which isn't all that small but my 1st was 8.5! So I expected a bigger babe this time!)
He was born in a snowstorm
: on Dec 15th at 2:44am after a super short two hour long labor!!!
Anyway to continue his birth story. . .
the last week of my pg the midwife discovered that little Finn's HB was really low. . .a 100 to 110 baseline. They were very concerned and rushed me to L&D to do a NST and a biophysical U/S which all came back normal. My M/W said maybe it's just him (a variation of normal) and wrote it off. During labor the HB was still doing okay, labored in the supported squat with my DH most of the time, then transfered to the birth tub the last 1hr of my labor. When the urge to push came I squated, the M/W couldn't reach the baby so she had me turn over, I did and with literally a ten minute push (honest to god it was exactly 10 minutes, he shot out like a canon!!) he was out.
I was then told he had what they call a "true knot" in his cord! Usually the baby makes this knot early on in pg (about 4 or 5 mo) and then they usually die. The knot gets tighter and tighter until they don't get enough oxegen. And, IF they make it to delevery with the knot, they usually are born still becuase the contractions cause the knot to tighten. So not only did little Finn have the true knot, but he had it around is neck!!!!!! He came out, looking blue and not breathing well so they kind had to be rough with him to get him started. It was pretty scary.
But he's here now, and he is doing so great!!! Nursing like a champ, peeing and pooping like crazy and being all cute and snuggley!!!
I am doing amazingly fantastic. I didn't tear whatsoever, Finn is an amazing sleeper so I feel super rested, my Husband is home with us, Christmas is comming, the house is warm and cozy and my bleeding is brown now and nearly gone (I have a Natural care pad in that's a light!!!!). I feel like nothing even happened to my body!!!!!! I am so ready for another one!!! (Or not??!!)
Anyways that's the update on me!!!
Much love and support to all the mamas waiting for their Winter blessings!
