I thought it was a self-cleansing sex organ, like the intact penis. I've had zero experiences with vaginas, though.

vagina = self-cleaning, yes. and no water gets up there, ever. unless you try to get water up there, and i've heard of (could be a snopes issue, dunno) of people dying from...from something from doing that. creating a vacuum or something. could be like those hot-dog stories, though. who knows.

foreskin shapes...i wonder if that has anything to do with anything. my ds's is very long after his penis ends. has lots of extra. i hear that he could grow into it as he gets older.
also it "flowers" out in the tub. it's tightly together until he gets in the tub and then it's kind of neat; like an anemone, it opens. i assumed that was Mom Nature's way of it getting clean in there, but apparently it needs more help from him now he's older than an infant

i will suggest the exposing the tip while urinating idea, and see if it cuts down on the fuzz factor. thanks for suggesting!

I understand that some males with tight foreskins will flush out the preputial space when they pee by pinching the tip of their foreskin closed and allowing the foreskin to baloon, then releasing the tip. Remember urine is sterile until it leaves the body.

so, um, once he hits sixteen or so, you might, um, want to make sure he can retract enough to wash properly. Because it was really gross.

Yeah, I think all kids should get a clear cleaning lesson (if they are boys, or girls). One of my friends had a girlfriend who REALLY smelled down there, and he found out it was because she was not washing herself properly down there.

With intact genitals (on boys and girls) there will be areas with lots of folds, and proper cleaning must be taught.
