I want to carry my 2 month old girl in a wrap or sling but she has to wear corrective shoes attached to a metal bar. Not sure how to carry her so we're both comfortable! Any ideas? I have a sleepywrap and maya ring sling and could buy another sling if needed.

my DD1 had a club foot and had to wear boots and bar, so BTDT. i was able to do a tummy-to-tummy hold with her in the ring sling and just didn't froggy her legs in, but had them bent to they were higher than her butt so she was still snug in there. a wrap i think would be a huge PITA (i didn't wrap back then so i don't really know but it just seems like it would get caught up in the bars). i did also have a Bjorn for a short while that someone gave me, and while i wouldn't run out and get one just for the purpose, if you know someone who has one you could borrow it worked pretty well for quick in and out - just put the body of the carrier between baby's legs.
i didn't use MT's back then, but it seems like if you cinched the bottom of a MT (or bought one that is narrow in the middle or cinches) that would work well. i also think a narrow blanket podaegi would work great in a straight leg carry if you wanted to wear her on your back while she had the B&B on (that seems like the only easy way to back carry with B&B).
hope you find something that works for you - i know my babe who had to wear B&B didn't like it much and wearing her definitely made things easier for us. and i relished the times when i could take them off for a while and snuggle her up without them

for sure you can do a tummy to tummy upright carry with your wrap.
my two month old doesnt have her legs tucked for that carry anymore and it would be easy to do with braces.
i use a moby, but i think your wrap is really close to being the same kind. the stretch in the fabric makes it a little less hard on her hips for getting a comfortable position with the braces on.
good luck! glad you are making the effort!

Aha! I have been looking for some tips on babywearing - my daughter has clubfeet and wears the shoes with a bar too! I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I just tried her in the Maya wrap facing me with her feet out the bottom - and it worked great! Now I'll have to get her used to it, but I'm so excited to be able to wear her again!
