Good luck lemonjuice! we're thinking of you!

:
Janis - I'm glad you are waiting. GBS can actually vary quite a bit I've learned! Why rush into meds you may not even need! I've learned that the hard way unforturnately. Good luck though - I'm thinking of you!
All the other mamas - One week closer! YAY!! (Or nay, lol!)
I think I now understand why they say "have a good cry." Last night my dogs got out in the blizzard we had. My husky (who is obviously built for this weather), came back in about an hour. My lab mix didn't. She was gone all night! I was a mess

! She's never gone for that long! EVER! I cried myself to sleep thinking of my poor baby out there, freezing to death, literally

:. But I couldn't go looking for her, my husband was working and trekking in the snow in below 0 degree windchills is not the best thing for a pregnant mama!
Finally at about 8am, I hear a bark at my door.

: I jumped out of my recliner (which I moved into my kitchen so I could be by the door, just in case she came home hurt), pulled yet another muscle in my abdomen doing so! She had hypothermia,

: and was tired & hungry of course. She ate, then passed out on the bed I'm supposed to give birth on! (O well, she's home!). After about an hour of me keeping her wrapped up, etc. She tried to get down off the bed but her muscles were so stiff she couldn't move her back legs!! I was freaking out (cried again - this dog is MY dog, like another baby to me!

).
I had my appt with my MW today. She used to be a vet - so she was sweet enough to check out my Bailey

. All is good, we got her warmed up and she's up and moving again

. I think my MW was thinking I was so worked up over this that it would be best for ME to check out the dog, lol.
Anyways - with all that over with, I noticed more contractions after each time I cried. They lasted for awhile, but then fizzled out. I'm 39.5wks today. We decided to do an exam (mainly because I needed to hear that the contractions I've been having are at least doing SOMETHING! other than keeping me in pain and up all hours!!

So I'm 2-3cm, 50% effaced, "very squishy" and "ready to go" as soon as the contractions get into full swing. So that's what we are working on. She strippsed my membranes, massaged my cervix with EPO. She said I could try using a breastpump since it really just seems like the contractions just need something to keep them going. I get them enough that they are working but my body may be fighting itself because I have torn muscle tissue in the top of my uterus and the abruption may be returning.
So I've done one round with the pump - noticed some more cramping. I'd love for him to come tonite...it's my brother's birthday and the baby is being named after him...it would be kind of fitting.

I'm off to another round, and see what happens! GL to all those who are moving closer to the pp threads!

:

: for whatever you need them for!!

Merry Christmas!
