yes, probably reasonable. I usually only buy them at Chinese grocery stores. I just ran out of them, so we made it with fresh **expensive** shiitake.

I got my tooth fixed today. I'm sooooooo much happier about it. The dentist just filed it down so it wouldn't be pointy anymore. I'll have it properly fixed next month - in the meanwhile, it feels really really weird. And, my diapers are almost done being washed. I only had a few new ones, so it was more just about washing them to make 'em mine. I discovered I have too many newborn covers, though!! oops. Maybe I'll send a few to a friend who's having a baby in March. DH & handyman installed our new kitchen sink today - and re-installed the bathroom sink! Yay! Now, my house is starting to feel more "put together".

I slept pretty good last night. I went to bed at 12 though. We were up late watching HEROS and eating the last of the pie! 

I’ve been cleaning this nasty house all morning. I gutted the guest bedroom and put everything on the bed and then just went through it all and through away tons of crap and papers and junk. DH has been helping (with some gentile persuasion! He, he…) and I am vacuuming room by room cuz we have carpet in the bedrooms & it gets dusty quick.
So….I feel good, I guess/hope I’m nesting because it will be so nice to have a clean slate to look at and if people come over after the baby, I won’t be embarrassed. Mostly I just want it cleaned and decluttered. I’m just more productive if its clean and I can THEN drag out sewing machine and crafts and cook healthy foods ect. Somehow it all fits together I guess. Mental thing.

Anyway…I’m here-WITH child, unable to lean over without getting a foot up in my ribs!

My DS is outside fighting monsters and dragons with DH cleaning his turtle ponds. Both of them are COVERED in dirt! I love it! 85* in Florida at the end of December:

Nothing going on over here. It was nice and warm, though. 72* We've had the heat off all day yesterday and today, and might be able to have it off tomorrow too! : I got all the laundry I need for my bag done yesterday, and it's all packed up. DH was *supposed* to help me put the carseat in today, but when it was 3.30 and he was still asleep and the rain started, I figured it will have to wait until tomorrow. Due tomorrow, but no signs as of yet that he will be here, so we're still waiting. Hope everyone is surviving well

Still here!! Today marked 41 weeks for me and I still haven't felt anything. I would like to get the ball rolling though! It would be very helpful for us to have the baby before the new year but I want the timing to be right for her. Like I told my MIL, we didn't have a baby just to get the tax return!! Still, it would be so wonderful to hold and snuggle her so I guess I'm getting a little imaptient, trying to keep a good attitude though!
I'm sleeping great!! Getting up 1 or 2 times in the night to pee but thats it! So I really feel blessed in that regard and I do think it will help me to be well rested when I do go into labor.
My mom is here and she's been helping me clean and get all sorts of things done. We're trying to stay busy so the time goes by faster. We made a fabulous meal tonight and she's in there cleaning the kitchen, sweet mums!
Tonight we're going to DTD and so maaaaybe something will get started!! Tomorrow is supposed to be slightly warmer too so we're going to go walk outside.
Anyway, this weekend has been so lovely!! And we still have one more day of it! It's been so nice having DH home.
Good labor vibes to everyone!! And send some my way too!!

I had a Cook catheter put in this morning to help induce labor (I'm 42 weeks now and VBAC). I was getting some regular, mild contractions for awhile, then they mostly stopped, and then the catheter came out, which means my cervix dilated more, but now I'm not getting the contractions.

Please send lots of labor vibes my way....

I fell asleep early tonight after I put the kiddos to bed, around 8pm, and now I am wide awake - maybe something will happen? I'm 41 weeks today. The baby was due the 21st. My DH bday was the 15th, then the EDD on winter solstice, then Christmas, now all that is left is New Years Eve which is also DH and my anniversary. I'm banking on that date now. I don't care whether we have it before the New Year or not. If LO waits, I get my raise and my STD as a percentage of the new salary. If LO comes before then, we get the tax break. Either way, I'm taking 6 weeks partially paid and 6 weeks unpaid. I'm just anxious to meet this LO!

G'night mamas! I'm going to sleep and hoping for this new moon to work some magic. We'll all be having some capricorn babies soon enough!

: I hope you have your baby soon.

I'm due today. *STILL* nothing. At most, a *few* contractions. My mom called yesterday, and said that since today is my EDD, and I haven't had the baby yet, she'll probably call twice a day. I don't really mind, I might can talk to my sister that way, but I don't need the constant reminder that I *haven't* had the baby yet. I have an appointment tomorrow, so maybe they'll check and something will be happening. I'm starting to accept we may be having a New Year's/2009 babe. It wouldn't be a *terrible* thing, per se, just I don't know how well I can handle still being pregnant that long. *sigh*

I told DH maybe LO is waiting for everything to be ready for him. I have everything packed, and right now am cooking some beans to make chili : I'm making a double batch, which is going to make a *ton* of chili, but I chili, DH has been wanting chili, and it should freeze well for postpartum meals. My mom got me a rice cooker for Christmas, so DH can cook too! : All he has to do is toss whatever in there and push the button, and it will signal when it's done. No more excuses I'm feeling pretty good, I guess, considering. Really sore, and pretty cranky, but other than that, in good spirits. I hope all you other ladies who are still waiting are in good spirits as well, and those of you who have already had their babies are enjoying them.

well, I am getting grouchy. Not about being pregnant so much, but about not being able to do the STUFF that's bugging me. Home-repair-cleaning-purging stuff. And every time I look at DH () he's just sitting at his computer ... I have at least 6 to-do lists now ... he does one thing then takes an hour+ break. He's the one who should be pregnant! Sometimes I wish I'd married a workaholic like myself, but that would probably have driven me up the wall more, I guess.

I need to be calm.

My mom has been sick for 3 days, so they rescheduled their flight to arrive Monday night. that gives me an extra 1.5 days to clean house, but it also makes me nervous to wonder if she's going to make it for the baby or not.

I was feeling BH this morning and yesterday. At least that's what I assume it was. It just feels crampy. Yesterday I was sure it was ligament pain, but this morning in bed, I started feeling my belly tighten at the same time. I'm sure it's been going on for awhile, but I'm on pins & needles now.

Contemplating going to Ikea today. Not sure why I would want to, but there are 3 little things that I want, and it would be easier to go while pregnant instead of with a newborn. We'll see.

have a great day y'all - it's rainy, dreary, and cold here.

Still here! I actually had a couple of light contrax last night (after we DTD) and woke up feeling pretty crampy. So maybe something is coming?! Today mom and I walked a ton and played a vicious game of Scrabble. Its so nice having her here!!
Feeling good! Everything is going well, just ready to have my baby on the outside.
Janis - hope the timing works out!! It's so nice having my mom here and I hope yours makes it on time!!
Well, we're going to eat dinner and then watch a movie. I'm thinking "Baby Mama" would be appropriate?

I had an awful night of cramps and feel sick as a dog today? I feel better after lots of water and eating breakfast but I was sooooo crabby! As my MW say's "I'm just over it!" Luckily I've been taking "messages" instead of cheerful calls! he, he....then I get back to the stupid questions when I'm in a better mood.

DH has to be directed to do anything other then HIS hobbies and interests and keeps pulling the "The house is already clean" crap. I told him I want to see him go lick the top of the TV. He laughed and said "I'LL DO IT!" (I didn't push that one! He's such a goober.) And the cats barfed all over my sons carpet which I'm in no mood to bend over and clean. I'm not sure why they even eat since their bulimic anyway! Goofy beasts!

*HUGE sigh...

I'm going to take a shower and go sit out by the creek...maybe the baby will fall out. Then I'll be complaining to you guys about sleep deprivation! Have a great day girlie's!
