i hear ya! i have been wearing the same pair of jeans for i think 3 months now! they were the only ones that fit at the end because of my huge thighs. which are still huge, so nothing i can do about that at this point i guess. thank goodness dh is good at doing laundry!

ugh. clothes. i feel miserable just thinking about them.
pre-pregnancy i was wearing anything from a 2-6 and now none of my old clothes fit at all. i was a low 34C, now i'm a 36D, but i can no longer wear my small/medium shirts. 5 weeks post-partum now and still about 8 lbs over my pre-pregnancy weight, but i think that even if i lose the weight my clothes still won't fit. my hips feel like they've gotten so much wider, like in the bones. it makes me really sad to think that i might not fit into my old clothes ever again because i made a lot of them myself and i have a lot of emotional attachment to them. i know, that's really stupid being emotionally attached to clothing, but that's the way i feel :[
i only gained about 20 lbs in pregnancy, but i'm still only wearing maternity pants, yoga pants and nursing tanks. i have a couple of real shirts that i can nurse in, but i definitely need more. i can't really get them though because i've not been working since june and we are SO broke. which makes the lack of wearable clothing even worse- there's no hope for getting new ones anytime soon. my birthday is in a couple of weeks and i am wishing and hoping that someone gets me nursing tops and bigger jeans. when i was pregnant i bought a pair of size 8 jeans, for post-partum time and they're even too big.
i don't know how to go about losing the weight healthily either, i had an eating disorder that lasted for years and it's the only way i've ever lost weight...i know it's not healthy but i've never lost weight the healthy way, only the bad way. so when i think about how slow it is the healthy way i just feel so discouraged and all i think about is just not eating at all, because that would work...but i'm breastfeeding and i can't do that so i'm lost in fat-land :[

Thanks so much for your responses, mamas! As much as it sucks to feel like a fat weirdly proportioned mutant whose body looks like it's covered in loosely tossed pizza dough, at least I'm not alone. :

misery loving company over here in "i will never be a 4 again" land. lol. Its good to hear im not the only one going through this. I have a feeling I am down to my prepregancy weight (havent weighed myself yet) but that spare tire of loose flesh is driving me crazy. i gained all this baby weight up front, so I am stretched beyound repair? I just dont have the time or the motivation to do core excersises. and my hips? forget about it! Again, with this baby being all upfront, im afraid my hips widened, and we all know THAT will never go away.....:-( Its totally vane of me to care about my body being bathing suit ready again, I know. But I also want to be comfortable in my own skin.

I'm in clothing purgatory as well! My boobs haven't gotten much bigger, my stomach is almost flat again, but my BUTT! OMG it's huge!! I don't understand what happened to it!! I am still 15 lbs over my pre-pregnancy size, but hopefully nursing will take care of that

Hugs, ladies, we all just gave birth so we are, by definition, awesome!

Just have to say, I share your pain, ladies! UGH. I *just* yesterday was able to zip up a pair of regular jeans again (for the past FIVE weeks I've been wearing maternity pants!) and I have like ONE skirt that fits. Even what I can fit into, doesn't quite fit right. And I swear it's worse after a c/s than it was after my 3 vaginal deliveries. I have the same amount of weight to lose, more or less, but I now have a weird, puffy "tummy shelf" above my incision (and the issue of uncomfortable-ness when certain clothes rub against it). I used to spend a ton on nice clothes, but now with DH unemployed, I really can't spend anything, so I'm stuck for now. Well, at least I put together something I looked halfway-decent in for Christmas pics

I'm beyond frustrated...here's my PP wardrobe:
4 pairs of BePresent yoga pants (Thank heavens for stretch!)
1 pair of maternity jeans
2 velour sweatsuits
4 nursing tanks
4 nursing bras
2 nursing specific shirts
6 t-shirts
4 pairs of pajamas
Obviously I'm wearing the same things over and over again...I'm yearning for my old jeans, but they're not fitting yet. Still one size bigger than pre-preggo and I REFUSE to stretch out my "good jeans" that cost me a paycheck so I will suffer.

I finally broke down and bought a new pair of jeans in a bigger size the other day (cheap @ Costco, thankfully). My maternity pants just won't stay up very well even with my Bella Band and I'm sick of fiddling with them all day. My regular jeans are nowhere near fitting yet - I can barely pull them up over my huge hips and rear end!

Thank goodness for Walmart is all I can say. (Flame away if ya want, but I'm broke.) I went from a size 10/12 to a 16 in pants, and my bra size went from 36B to a 38D. My PP wardrobe is:

-1 pair jeans (REAL jeans! No elastic! $8 at WM pre-xmas sale, and wonder of wonders they actually had one lone pair of 16 long.)
-1 maternity skirt (too big but still workable)
-2 horribly large sweatpants
-5 XL long sleeve cotton tshirts (again, thank you WM sales)
-2 nursing tanks
-2 nursing bras
-DH's tshirts

Oh yes, and to stop my pizza dough tummy from flopping, I wear Spanx knockoffs (aka a girdle). It sucks to get it on, but oh my goodness it is so worth it. I feel a lot better about myself when I wear it.
