Is this okay?

Hi, Everyone. I never post here but I have a question that I think someone here might be able to answer I have the opportunity to get 30 gallons of free glycerin for soap making. Here's the thing, though. It's coming from someone who was using it to make biodiesel. He says that some of the containers have a little fuel in them. After some research I found that the pure glycerin will sink and the fuel will float. Okay, so would you use it for soap? And, if you would, how would you effectively remove the fuel?

Thanks a lot,
Laura

can you get a clear container with a tap at the bottom? I so you should be able to run off the glycerine and stop the tap before you get to the fuel. You might waste a little glycerine but it's the simplest solution I can think of.

Good idea. Any suggestions for an easy to find container like that which you describe?

Thanks,
Laura

What about ice tea pitchers? Our grocery store sells ones made of glass that have a plastic spigot at the botter. Or I've seen them at resale shops.
