How long before you DTD again?

Maybe it's the fact that someone told me NOT to have sex, but I feel like a horny teenager again. Last time we waited for the postpartum visit and found out that we didn't need to.

In all three births before, I was DTD within 2-3 weeks-as soon as the epis healed and I was done bleeding. I just can't wait and neither can hubby. It will prob be the same as before for this post-partem time. But that's as long as its a vag birth-which they all have been-so it makes it easier.

My first was a section and I think we barely made it 2 weeks. Second baby was a vbac and I think it was closer to a month. This time was a repeat c/s (2 weeks ago today ) and I was told 6 weeks. I'm DYING and if it weren't for the scar still being somewhat painful, I'm sure we would have dtd by now.

Wow, you guys get back on quick.

With my first, it was 12 weeks. I had a vaginal birth with some slight tearing.

uh. 3 months ... at least

DH was sent away by the army at less than 4 weeks PP. He came back around 7 weeks PP. I was ready to go before then, but, not at the -4 weeks.

Vag delivery with 2nd degree tear.

(Saw this in recent posts...my bad...ddc crashing)

about 2 weeks!

Ummm....right now I'm thinking it will be in about 20 years when I know I can no longer get pregnant. Towards the end of the pregnancy, I told DH that I was never going to have sex with him again, but I've changed it to about 20 years.

Truthfully, I have no desire right now. I had a good amount of tearing and some that still needs to heal so it will be a while. I had the same amount of tearing with my second child and it was probably about six weeks before we tired. I can't remember at what point we were actually successful, but I think it was about 10 weeks.

Umm... >.> 8 days. Honestly I'm surprised we made it that long. With my second it was 3 days, my first was 1 month.

We are wanting to REAL bad right now but I at least want to go to my checkup(on the 31st) before we do, just to make sure my tear is fine. Last time I waited until the day before my 6 week checkup...and she asked me if I had fun last night...lol, she could tell.

I shaved my legs today and DH said to not tease him...poor guy. lol I bet it kills him when I get my boob out to feed Mr. Evan...lmbo.

Last time, 1 week. This yime I ended up w/ 1 stitch and bilateral labial tears so probably 2-3 weeks..but i dont want to
post #12 of 45
I think I waited the longest with my first but it was because I was more scared. I believe it was 3 weeks with him.. Shortest time was a week.

LOL !!!! Really??? With the ugly hang of skin from the c/s, combined with NO sleep.... DTD is gonna have to wait a bit longer. Tho my dh continues to offer me alcohol, I think he has an alterior motive!

Last pregnancy I waited probably 2 months. It was horribly painful because I think my episiotomy didn't heal very well. It took until 1 year after the birth to feel comfortable(less pain) with dtd again. We tried probably once a month til we reached that point.

Wow, some of you are ... I don't know what, brave, maybe?! Last time it was definitely after 6 weeks, probably 8 or so. But it was painful. That was with a section.

This time, with a vaginal birth (and 2nd degree tear), I can't imagine my poor girlie bits ever being ready again! Some day, I'm sure, but no time soon.

We had to wait 6 weeks and it was hard to wait. I have already been telling DH I am not looking forward to the dry spell this time. We tried to have sex last weekend and can't because the head is in the way. It's a good thing, but I'd like one last time KWIM?

Oh goodness you people are nuts. I'm thinking after menopause at the earliest.
With my first it was a really long time, at least 12 weeks, and even then it was very painful.

Now I'm just waiting for this stupid spotting to be done, if it wasn't for that we would've done it at least a week ago (DS is 16 days old).
DH loves that I have my boobs out all the time, poor guy

Erica - I think they're nuts, too. I'm not willing to wait til menopause, though. But, sadly, I'm a lot closer to menopause than most, if not all, of you.

8 days pp.. It was slightly uncomfy. i had no tearing and my bleeding had stopped. We didn't do it again until I was about 4 weeks pp after that.
